Relatable?

I love using technology to track my progress but with 5% left I have a hard time justifying a work out that won’t “count”. And, no, I’m not going to say something inspiring like “my body will know it counts”. Of course my body will know. The ring about me is that I need tangible data and to track my progress. Knowing my watch will run out of energy before I’m done exercising is not encouraging me to go exercise. So step 1 of my plan: Every weekday after lunch charge my watch.while I work. I’m sedentary during that timeframe anyway so I might as well charge my watch. That’s it. That’s step 1. It’s all about the baby steps.  

And just like that, I started a blog 15 years too late (lol)

Ok, I don’t know if this is legit or if it’s just some Creed-Bratton-style word processing app. And in no uncertain terms, I recognize that blogging has gone the way of the Dodo for the most part, but I’m not one who can just jump in putting herself on video just yet - so this is a baby step but also a huge step for me. I’m Val, I’m 43, and I haven’t been taking care of myself. Like, for real - I don’t eat well, I don’t move, and I don’t care about my skin, hair, or much else. More on all of that later. I am super diligent about my teeth, so I have that but my teeth can stand to be straighter and my smile can definitely be brighter. Baby steps.. On the outside I think most people think I have it together, at least to a degree. I just recently found my calling and it’s really improved my outlook on life so I’ve decided that now’s the time to take care of me. “So what’s the plan??” I’m so glad you asked.
